We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past and present, honoring their enduring stories, traditions, and cultures. We acknowledge that Fiona was born on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people and remain committed to building a shared, brighter future together on this land now known as Australia.

The District Fishwife is in Washington D.C. and sits on the unceded ancestral lands of the Anacostans (also documented as Nacotchtank) Ben was born on the unceded ancestral lands of the Council of the Three Fires--comprised of the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi Nations. The Miami, Ho-Chunk, Menominee, Sac, Fox, Kickapoo, and Illinois Nations also called the area home.
